  • I am a Master of Arts student in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I recognize that each of us has traveled a different journey to arrive where we are today. I’m committed to honouring your life experiences, supporting you as we examine them, and walking alongside you as we create meaningful shifts and lasting change.

Taking a full-picture approach at a pace that feels right for you, together we can explore the patterns in your everyday life and use evidence-based strategies to create meaningful shifts, drawing on and enhancing your strengths. I'm dedicated to helping you find strategies that fit your life and foster self-compassion.

Asking for help takes courage. I want you to know I admire this first step you’ve taken. You’re not alone. I’m here to provide an empowering space for you to grow and support you on this journey. My areas of focus include anxiety, stress management, self-compassion, grief, life transitions, relationships, trauma, identity, depression, and postpartum depression. I offer a genuine approach, providing a safe, non-judgmental space for you.

Under the supervision of Rochelle Brandt [Registered Psychotherapist and Clinical Traumatologist], I integrate the following approaches into my sessions:

    • Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) follows your direction and pace, providing a nonjudgmental space that is both collaborative, supportive, genuine, and safe.

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) involves identifying automatic thoughts and behaviors and adapting or reframing them to achieve more positive outcomes.

    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) supports coping with life’s challenges by focusing on your core values and what matters most to you, guiding you to take mindful actions that align with them.

    • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) helps you understand, accept, and eventually balance your emotions by using mindfulness techniques and practicing new coping skills.

    • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) emphasizes the here and now, coupled with intentional, nonjudgmental awareness of bodily sensations, feelings, and thoughts.

  • An ambitious Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Tina completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and has a background in trauma work with vulnerable populations.

It would be an absolute honor and pleasure to embark on this journey with you. I specialize in trauma, self-development, stress management, anxiety, self-esteem, and emotional regulation.      Drawing from several evidence based theories:

    ·       Psychoanalytic (pulling from childhood relationships)

    ·       Adlerian (challenging unconscious perpetuating factors)

    ·       Existential (challenging the nature of our personal realities)

    ·       Choice theory (encouraging autonomy and empowering choice)

“What if healing isn't about searching for what's wrong with you, but gently digging up the parts of you that have been deeply buried within you? And what if the intention isn't about fixing yourself, but it's about discovering yourself? This is the journey within, it is a journey of kindness, not force.” - JB Copeland
